Arsenal have made the decision to permit Eddie Nketiah to depart North London this summer, potentially paving the way for West Ham to swoop in.

David Moyes has faced a shortage of strikers throughout the season, primarily relying on Michail Antonio and Danny Ings.

There were instances when the Scottish manager did not have access to these two, resulting in players like Jarrod Bowen being deployed as a makeshift forward.

Securing a new number nine is a key priority heading into the 2024/25 season, with Nketiah emerging as a viable candidate.

According to journalist Graeme Bailey, Arsenal is prepared to offload the 24-year-old, with West Ham, Bournemouth, Fulham, and Crystal Palace expressing interest.

Nketiah has predominantly served as a substitute for Arsenal this season, featuring in a total of 33 matches and contributing six goals and five assists.

The Gunners’ standout performer could prove to be a valuable addition for West Ham in the upcoming transfer window. At just 24 years old, the English forward still possesses significant room for growth.

Initially, Nketiah may not generate immediate excitement among Hammers supporters due to his lack of renown. However, over time, this potential acquisition could yield substantial dividends.
