Al Nassr is edging closer to securing the signature of Marcelo Brozovic, the Inter midfielder, in a significant setback for Barcelona’s transfer aspirations, as per exclusive information obtained by Sportsweez.
With Sergio Busquets bidding farewell to Barcelona this summer, the club had set their sights on Brozovic as a potential replacement to anchor their midfield. In an effort to entice the Croatian player, Barcelona reached out to Brozovic, requesting that he postpone making a decision regarding his future until they could determine if they could extend a formal offer. Unfortunately for Barcelona, sources have informed SportsWeez that no such proposal has materialized.
Brozovic had initially expressed interest in joining Barcelona, but he, much like Lionel Messi, was unwilling to wait indefinitely for an offer that may never come. Consequently, it is now widely anticipated that he will soon sign a contract with Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia.
Earlier this week, negotiations between Inter and Al Nassr had hit a snag. However, according to reliable sources at Sportsweez, the discussions have since regained momentum and are moving forward positively.
Beppe Marotta, the CEO of Inter, recently provided an update on the situation surrounding Brozovic, emphasizing that the deal was far from dead. In an interview with Sky Italia, Marotta stated, “When it comes to a player, numerous factors come into play. Naturally, the financial aspect is the most crucial one. The situation is not finalized nor resolved. Ultimately, it is the player himself who will decide. We are under no obligation to part with him. The primary obstacle lies in establishing the contractual relationship between him and his prospective new club. If a solution is found, we will conclude the matter; otherwise, we will withdraw him from the transfer market.
