Getafe will be aiming to extend their unbeaten streak in all competitions to seven matches when they host Cadiz at Estadio Coliseum in La Liga on Monday night.
Currently, Getafe is positioned 13th in the La Liga table, having amassed 12 points from their first 11 matches.
Cadiz, on the other hand, occupies the 15th spot with 10 points from their initial 11 games in the 2023-24 season.
Match Preview
In the current La Liga season, Getafe has won two, drawn six, and lost three of their 11 matches, resulting in a total of 12 points and a 13th-place ranking.
Under Jose Bordalas’s leadership, Getafe has shared points in their last five league games, including a goalless draw against Mallorca in the previous weekend.
Although unbeaten in all competitions since September 24, their last La Liga victory was on September 17 against Osasuna. They have also beaten Alaves in Spain’s top flight this season.
The Deep Blue Ones come into this match after an impressive performance in the Copa del Rey, where they scored 12 unanswered goals against Tardienta.
Mason Greenwood scored twice, taking his club tally to three goals since joining on loan from Manchester United over the summer. Oscar Rodriguez netted a hat-trick in the 12-0 victory.
Cadiz also advanced to the second round of the Copa del Rey but needed a penalty shootout to overcome Badalona after a goalless draw.
Sergio Gonzalez’s side managed to secure a point at home against Sevilla in the league in their last outing, but they haven’t claimed a victory in La Liga since defeating Villarreal 3-1 at the start of September.
With two wins, four draws, and five defeats in 11 matches, Cadiz has accumulated 10 points, placing them 15th in the table, just four points above the relegation zone.
This marks Cadiz’s fourth consecutive season in La Liga, their best run since the early 1990s when they finished 12th, 17th, and 14th in their last three campaigns.
Although Getafe has not been beaten by Cadiz in La Liga since April 2021, their recent encounters have resulted in draws.
