Premier League clubs are keeping a close eye on Mason Greenwood, currently on loan from Manchester United to Spanish team Getafe.
The 22-year-old has made waves in La Liga this season with 10 appearances, two goals, and three assists under his belt.
After scoring in Getafe’s 2-1 victory over Almeria last weekend, scouts from several Premier League teams were reportedly in attendance at the match.
According to a report from Spanish outlet AS, Greenwood’s future in football remains uncertain, with a permanent move away from Old Trafford still on the cards.
Despite interest from teams in England, Getafe is reportedly keen on extending his loan term and keeping him in Spain.
Although no Premier League offers came through in the last transfer window, at least two Championship sides, as well as clubs from Italy and Turkey, were said to be interested in signing Greenwood.
Nevertheless, it seems that Premier League teams are still keeping tabs on the up-and-coming star.
Greenwood joined Manchester United as a six-year-old and has since become a key player in the club’s first team.
He has already scored 35 goals in 129 games for the Red Devils, despite being only 17 when he made his debut in 2019.
His current contract runs until 2025, but it remains to be seen where he will end up once his loan spell with Getafe comes to an end.
