Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United Predicted Lineups and Team News: Carabao Cup

Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United will face off in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals on Thursday, with both teams looking to book their place in the semi-finals.

Spurs come into the match on the back of a 5-0 thrashing of Southampton last weekend, with goals from James Maddison (2), Son Heung-min, Dejan Kulusevski and Pape Matar Sarr.

However, Ange Postecoglou’s side have struggled for consistency this season and sit 10th in the Premier League, five points off the top four.

Manchester United, meanwhile, have won their last two away games 2-1 against Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League and rivals Manchester City in the Premier League. Under new manager Ruben Amorim, the Red Devils are aiming to reach the Carabao Cup semi-finals.

Team News:

Tottenham will be without the suspended Rodrigo Bentancur, while Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Richarlison, Ben Davies, Wilson Odobert, Guglielmo Vicario and Mikey Moore are all sidelined through injury. Destiny Udogie is also a doubt.

For Manchester United, the fitness of Mason Mount (leg) and Noussair Mazraoui (knock) will be assessed ahead of the match. Luke Shaw and Jonny Evans remain out.

Predicted Lineups:

Tottenham Hotspur: (4-2-3-1)

Porro, Gray, Dragusin, Spence;

Bissouma, Sarr;

Kulusevski, Maddison, Johnson;

Manchester United: (3-4-2-1)

The two sides last met in the Premier League in September, with Tottenham running out 3-0 winners at Old Trafford. However, United have won their last six Carabao Cup away games by an aggregate score of 14-1.

It promises to be an intriguing quarter-final clash, with both teams aiming to take a step closer to Wembley.
