Aiming to secure a top-two spot in the division, struggling Ipswich Town will visit The Den on Wednesday night in the Championship to play against Millwall.
The Lions narrowly lost to playoff hopefuls Coventry City on Sunday, while the Tractor Boys drew with West Bromwich Albion at Portman Road a day earlier.
Match Preview
In his first Championship start since the removal of Gary Rowett and the appointment of Joe Edwards, 18-year-old Romain Esse scored his second goal of the season for Millwall at the Coventry Building Society Arena on Sunday.
However, despite having opportunities to increase their lead, Millwall conceded to summer signing Haji Wright, resulting in their fourth loss in five games and only one point earned during that period.
After a promising end to the festive season with three consecutive wins, Millwall now finds themselves in 18th place after a concerning run of form, just four points above 22nd-placed Queens Park Rangers.
To boost their attack, Millwall signed Adam Mayor and Michael Obafemi during the January transfer window.
In the previous season, Millwall performed well at home but this season they have struggled, winning only four out of 15 games at The Den.
Ipswich’s recent form has seen them win only one of their last nine matches, with a draw against West Brom in their latest outing. They managed to equalize twice in the game through Nathan Broadhead and Omari Hutchinson.
Team News
Millwall’s top scorer Kevin Nisbet might miss the rest of the season due to a hamstring injury. Ryan Longman is also sidelined with a shoulder injury, while Brooke Norton-Cuffy’s availability is uncertain.
Ipswich will be without George Hirst due to a hamstring injury, but Cameron Burgess is likely to return. Lee Evans is out for the season with a knee injury, and Brandon Williams is set to return from his fitness problems.
