Italian football lovers are eagerly looking forward to Sunday’s Serie A games, with some exciting matchups in store.
Here are our predictions for the four matches scheduled for October 1st.
Bologna vs. Empoli (Sunday, 11.30am)
Bologna enters the game following three scoreless draws, and they will be hoping for a change of fortunes at home against Empoli.
Empoli recorded their first win last week, but they have a terrible record in away fixtures, having won just one of their last 17 in the league.
With Juventus and Napoli being their only major challenges this term, we predict that Bologna will come out on top, winning by two goals to one.
- Tipsters’ prediction: Under 3.5 goals
Udinese vs. Genoa (Sunday, 2.00pm)
Udinese is still searching for their first league win this season, and they face a Genoa side that seems to be on the rise.
After promotion, Genoa has seven points from six games and is looking to continue their good form.
Nonetheless, we expect Udinese to pull together a victory, probably a hard-fought 1-0 win.
- Tipsters’ prediction: Over 1.5 goals
Atalanta vs. Juventus (Sunday, 5.00pm)
Two of the league’s top-four teams, separated by just one point, meet in what could be the most challenging match of the weekend.
Atalanta has been very efficient in their home games, not conceding any goals thus far, while Juventus’ attack hasn’t been very convincing. We’re predicting a 1-1 draw in this fixture.
- Tipsters’ prediction: Under 3.5 goals
Roma vs. Frosinone (Sunday, 7.45pm)
Roma is already struggling to keep up with their rivals, and they will be looking to recover from a midweek defeat to Genoa.
Frosinone, on the other hand, has had a decent start in their maiden season in Serie A, losing just once thus far.
Nevertheless, we believe Roma’s pedigree will play a major role in the game, and we expect a 1-1 draw as the likely outcome.
- Tipsters’ prediction: Over 1.5 goals
Sunday’s Serie A games promise to be thrilling, with some evenly matched teams locking horns.
