In a surprising turn of events, Tottenham Hotspur has reportedly revoked permission for their star striker, Harry Kane, to fly to Germany for his Bayern Munich medical.

The England captain was given the green light to undergo a medical after the two clubs agreed on a £104 million transfer fee. However, while on his way to Stansted airport, Kane received the unexpected news that he could no longer travel.

According to Sky Sports, Kane is currently staying at a family home near the airport, waiting for permission to leave.

Meanwhile, Tottenham is desperately attempting to renegotiate the deal at the eleventh hour. Daniel Levy, the club’s chairman, now demands a staggering £110 million for their all-time leading goalscorer, as reported by The Independent.

This sudden twist in negotiations comes after weeks of back-and-forth between the two clubs. Bayern Munich’s proposal of £104 million was accepted by Tottenham on Friday morning, making it a club-record agreement.

Kane had expressed his desire for his future to be settled before Tottenham’s Premier League campaign starts, and with the initial agreement in place, it seemed like the move was imminent.

Initially hesitant to leave his boyhood club, Kane eventually agreed to personal terms with Bayern Munich, worth a remarkable £415,000 per week, just ahead of the new season. It is understood that Bayern believes the transfer will be officially confirmed within the next 24 hours.

Notably, Kane turned down a substantial £400,000 weekly contract offer from Tottenham earlier this summer. As he prepares to leave the club as their record goalscorer, with an impressive tally of 280 goals in 435 senior appearances, Spurs now face the challenge of finding a suitable replacement before the transfer window closes in early September.

SportsWeez has compiled a list of nine strikers that Tottenham could potentially target in the coming weeks.

Among them are Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Randal Kolo Muani, and Lautaro Martinez, who could fill the void left by Kane’s departure.

The club’s decision to revoke his medical clearance has undoubtedly added more uncertainty to an already complex situation.
