The top scorer’s list in Spanish football saw some new developments, with Ante Budimir reaching 14, Gorka Guruzeta at 13, and Robert Lewandowski also at 13.
Bellingham remains the leader with 16 goals.
The 2023-24 season is focused on determining the top scorer in Spanish football.
Despite a noticeable decrease in his goal tally compared to his time at Bayern Munich, Robert Lewandowski clinched the ‘Pichichi’ award in his debut season in Spain by netting 22 goals.
He surpassed Karim Benzema, who finished with 19 goals after a slow start.
The departure of the Frenchman to Saudi Arabia means he is no longer part of the Spanish championship, making the Pole the clear favorite to clinch the top scorer title again.
Alongside him, Joselu, a former top scorer at Espanyol now playing for Real Madrid, was also a strong contender.
However, Bellingham has made an impact on the Real Madrid side.
Joselu secured the third top scorer position and claimed the ‘Zarra’ trophy for the top Spanish scorer, edging past Borja Iglesias, who scored 15.
Similarly, Antoine Griezmann and Vedat Muriqi also notched 15 goals and were in contention for the top scorer title in LaLiga EA Sports from the beginning.
It remains to be seen how other scorers such as Morata, Gerard Moreno, Cristhian Stuani, or established Spanish football figures like Hugo Duro or Mikel Oyarzabal will fare.
This table shows the leading scorers for LaLiga 2023-24:
- Bellingham (Real Madrid) with 16 goals.
- Borja Mayoral (Getafe) with 15 goals.
- Morata (Atlético), Dovbyk (Girona), and Budimir (Osasuna) with 14 goals.
- Sorloth (Villarreal), Guruzeta (Athletic), and Lewandowski (Barcelona) with 13 goals.
- Vinicius (Real Madrid) and Hugo Duro (Valencia) with 12 goals.
