Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has been hit with a one-match touchline suspension following a yellow card during his team’s 1-0 win over Luton Town.
As a result, he will not be on the touchline for Man United’s next Premier League match against Everton after the international break.
This booking was the third of the season for the Dutchman, leading to the one-match ban.
Despite the suspension, Ten Hag expressed confidence in his coaching staff’s ability to lead the team during the match against Everton.
The 53-year-old mentioned his displeasure with the decision to award Luton a throw-in during the game, which led to him showing his frustration and ultimately receiving the booking.
Ten Hag also reflected on the team’s recent performance, securing his 30th Premier League win in his 50th match, which is the same number that legendary Sir Alex Ferguson managed.
Man United currently sits in sixth position in the league table, with 21 points collected from seven wins and five losses.
Injuries have plagued the team, with several players missing the win over Luton, and Ten Hag praised the team’s ability to cope with an ever-changing lineup.
Following the match against Everton, Man United will face a crucial contest with Galatasaray in the Champions League, with the team still aiming to reach the round of 16.
